History
In 1958, Harold Macmillan declared in Parliament the renaming of Empire Day as Commonwealth Day.
The Commonwealth and Britain have a mutual history, social connections, regular legitimate systems and strategic approaches.
The Secretariat of the Royal Commonwealth Society followed the proposition in 1973. Commonwealth Day is observed throughout all nations of the Commonwealth.
