Earlier today the popular Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor joined the dreaded list of celebrities who have been tested positive for novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. The 41-year old singer had reportedly returned from London a few days ago and since then had attended a few social gatherings. The ‘Baby Doll’ singer has been proclaimed to have met close to 400 people at these events. She took to Instagram on Friday to acquaint her fans about her health and ever since she is being criticized heavily for her irresponsible behavior. Her reckless decision of not isolating herself may cause the lives of many others who came in her contact. Apart from Kanika, there have been other celebrities in the past who have caused trouble for themselves and others.
1. Shah Rukh Khan
None other than king khan was accused by social activist Varsha Deshpande and several other female foeticide activists, of allegedly determining the sex of his youngest child AbRam who was born through surrogacy in 2013. Deshpande had solicited documents concerning the complete surrogacy process following which BMC, the Mumbai civic body had sent a team of investigators to his residence to ascertain the facts. However, the ‘Swades’ actor has repeatedly expressed his disappointment regarding the whole accusation and has constantly trashed the speculations.

2. Robert Downey Jr.
Everyone’s favorite Marvel Superhero has also been summoned in the past for violating probation. In the year 1996, police authorities found heroin, cocaine, and a pistol in the actor’s car when he was pulled over for speeding the vehicle. In the early 2000s, the 54-year-old actor who portrays the role of Ironman lost several jobs due to his arrests and repeated visits to rehabilitation centers. It was only after the 2008 hit movie ‘Ironman’ that he came clean and his life completely changed for the better.

3. Jeremy Renner
Another actor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe landed himself in hot water when his ex-wife accused him of threatening to kill her. The 49-year-old American actor divorced his wife Sonni Pacheco after just ten months of marriage in 2014. In court documents obtained in reports, Pacheco said that last November, Renner was at a nightclub, high on cocaine and liquor, when he allegedly told someone that he “could not deal with her anymore, and he just wanted her gone.”
She also claims that a nanny overheard Renner say he was going to her residence to kill her and then himself because “it was better that Ava had no parents than to have Sonni as a mother.” After this infamous case, Disney reportedly considered replacing Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

4. John Abraham
The actor was involved in an incident that happened in 2006 when Abraham’s Suzuki Hayabusa motorbike skidded across the road into a bicycle and caused minor injuries to two youngsters. The police later booked him under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
However, since no fatal injuries were caused to the victims, the ‘Dostana’ star was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on a surety of rupees 20,000 after Bandra court had sentenced him to 15 days of imprisonment for rash driving. Apart from John, Salman Khan and Ronit Roy are few of the other celebrities who have been booked under rash driving cases.

5. Lindsay Lohan
The Mean Girls star is controversies’ favorite child and has always found herself struggling with the law. She has been arrested a number of times since 2007 when she was restrained for the first time for driving under the influence and possession of coke. Since then, she has been sentenced for a variety of incidents ranging from a hit-and-run to massive jewelry theft.
Time and again she has found herself in a rehabilitation center but to no avail. It has been observed that celebrities like Lindsay who start as child actors do generally go down the wrong path if they are not taught the importance of humility. Once a talented actor is, unfortunately, more well-known these days for her multiple arrests than for her acting.
