Nadeem Saifi – Gulshan Kumar Murder Case

Probably the most famous celebrity murder case of the 90s era! Gulshan was the-then Baron of T-Series, a music label and also a film producer who was shot ruthlessly 21 years ago in August 1997 outside an Andheri Temple in broad daylight by unknown assailants.
Nadeem Saifi, of the music composer duo ‘Nadeem-Shravan’ was accused of plotting the murder with Dawood Ibrahim’s brother, Anees Ibrahim Kaskar. Nadeem is presently on asylum in London. His arrest warrant has never been withdrawn and he might get extradited from the UK at the behest of the Indian government.
Sanjay Dutt – Illegal Arms Possession Case
Sanjay, a famous Bollywood actor was detained and jailed twice (1994-96) and (2014-2016) by a TADA court for illegal possession of firearms following the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai of the year 1993.
Dutt was accused of illegally accepting and storing a cache of weapons from Abu Salem and Riyaz Siddiqui (co-accused). It was claimed that these weapons were part of the arms consignment provided to terrorists involved in the blast.
Salman Khan – Illegal Poaching and Hit-and-Run Case
Illegal Poaching Case – In October 1998, Salman and his co-stars of the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ (Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam) allegedly shot at and killed a chinkara and two Blackbucks near Jodhpur.
Since Blackbucks are a protected wildlife species who are nearly extinct, Salman was termed
Blackbucks are nearly extinct, the prime accused and his co-stars were accused of inciting the crime. He has spent jail time for this case in 1998 and 2007.
Hit-and-run case – In 2002, Salman was arrested for rash driving and ramming his car into a Mumbai bakery which resulted in the killing of a person and injuring three others who were asleep on the pavement. He was charged with culpable homicide in 2013 after a long court case to which he pleaded not guilty.
In 2015, he was found guilty of all charges in the case by The Bombay Sessions Court but was granted bail on the same day. However, in a rehearing in December 2015, Salman was acquitted of all charges due to lack of evidence.
In July 2016, a plea by the Maharashtra government challenged the acquittal of Salman and this case is still sub-judice.
Shiney Ahuja – Rape Case
Shiney, a popular actor who was in the movie Gangster, was charged with forcible rape of his domestic maid.
The maid had retracted her statement in the past, but the actor was held guilty on the basis of circumstantial evidence. He was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment in March 2011.

Madhur, a national award-winning director was
falsely accused by a struggling actress called Preeti Jain in a casting couch-cum-rape case in 2006.
However, due to no evidence available, he was granted bail and all charges were withdrawn.
Monica Bedi – Portugal Illegal Immigration
Being under the scanner of the CBI for being the paramour of gangster Abu Salem, this small-time actress was arrested and extradited back to India for entering and staying in Portugal with fake documents.
She was proven guilty in 2006 and spent two and half years in jail for her crime.
Fardeen Khan – Drug Bust

The actor was sent to jail after he was busted trying to buy cocaine in 2001. He pleaded guilty and after de-addiction treatment and denial to sell any drugs in the future, he was let off.
Govinda – Physical Assault and criminal intimidation
The iconic actor was dragged to court for slapping a person called Santosh Raj who was a visitor on Govinda’s shooting set of the movie ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’.
Sooraj Pancholi – Jiah Khan suicide case
Actress Jiah’s mysterious suicide was pinned on her ex-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi who is veteran actor Aditya Pancholi’s son.
Sooraj was jailed in 2013 for allegedly the suicide. The case is also being probed from a murder angle.
Navjot Singh Sidhu – Physical Assault
The ‘Sidhuism’ expert was accused of fatally assaulting a person called Gurnam Singh 26 years ago in an incident of road rage.
He spent a few days in Patiala jail and sentenced to 3 years in jail for culpable homicide in 2006, but the conviction has been on stay ever since.
Shah Rukh Khan – Child Sex Determination Case
Varsha Deshpande, a female foeticide activist accused SRK of sex determination of his youngest son Abram in 2013 before birth and announcing it publically.
His wife and Gauri Khan maintain that they did not do so and had no prior knowledge about the sex of the child prior to birth and they were also given a clean chit by the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation)
Saif Ali Khan – Physical Assault
SAK was booked in 2012 under section 325 of IPC for assault, manhandling and punching Iqbal Mir Sharma, a businessman from South Africa at the Wasabi Restaurant in Taj, Colaba. He was later released on bail.
The victim was seated next to him, his now wife Kareena Kapoor, his sister-in-law Karishma Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi when he asked them to be less noisy and lower his voice. This is when Saif rained blows in a fit of rage on Iqbal and his 68-year-old father-in-law. This was Saif Ali Khan’s second offense after the black buck case.
