Ever since Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Schedule has been announced, there has been a sense of excitement all around.
Same excitement is carried forward in stock markets today.
National Stock Exchange’s Nifty 50 was up by around 1 % or around 100 points, Bombay Stock Exchange’s BSE SENSEX is about to touch 37,000 marks soon.
Top Gainers and top losers
NSE Top Gainers include Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited which showed a gain of around 6% while Bharti Airtel Limited showed gains of around 4.5 % followed by energy PSUs such as IOC, Coal India and Bharat Petroleum.
Nifty losers include TCS, IndusInd Bank etc. It seems Tech space is a bit nervous today, however chances of recovery are building.
InfiBeam, Tata Steel were top gainers in BSE while BIRLA CORPORATION LTD and DEWAN HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION LTD were top losers.
Positive returns posted by Nifty during March April
As per the data compiled by IDFC securities, Nifty 50 has posted positive returns during March-April in the last decade.
